The Rashtriya Janata Dal on Monday requested a CBI investigation into the assault instances of 44 young ladies living in a state-run protect home in Muzaffarpur area of north Bihar.
The asylum home Seva Sankalp Evam Vikas Samiti situated on Sahu Road in Muzaffarpur was under the Social Welfare Department.
Of the restorative reports of 44 young ladies, 21 have been submitted to the Muzaffarpur police in which 16 instances of assault have been affirmed.
"We're sitting tight for the therapeutic report of 8 different young ladies," said Muzaffarpur Senior Superintendent of Police Harpreet Kaur.
